Measure each shift
Weigh segregated wet food waste after each service. Include preparation residues and plate waste only when suitable for the selected system.
COMPOSTO by DSC Engineering · Factory & Institutional Food Waste
Size your Organic Waste Converter from measured, segregated food waste across shifts—not employee headcount alone. Compare equipment, plan receiving and segregation, and request a manufacturer-direct quotation.

Waste flow comes first
A factory operating two or three meal shifts may generate very different loads from a single daytime cafeteria. Record machine-suitable kitchen wet waste separately from packaging, plates, metal, plastics and general rubbish.
Weigh segregated wet food waste after each service. Include preparation residues and plate waste only when suitable for the selected system.
Confirm the collection route, operator availability and time between meal services. Daily rated capacity is not the same as unrestricted instantaneous loading.
Allow for receiving, sorting, machine servicing, additives where applicable, curing and finished material handling.
Editable industrial canteen calculator
Enter measured, segregated machine-suitable wet waste per shift. A planning margin can allow for variations. Values below are illustrative inputs, not verified site statistics.
Compare the closest published model, then review the operating cycle and shift loading with the factory.

Installation readiness
Record typical and peak shift inputs, rejects, wet-waste moisture and contaminant controls.
Confirm electrical phase/load from selected model drawings, safe earthing, covered floor, drainage, ventilation and maintenance clearance.
Clarify unloading, installation, commissioning, operator training, consumables, downstream curing and AMC arrangements in the quotation.

Common buyer questions
Measure segregated machine-suitable organic waste across every shift, assess peak quantities, apply an appropriate planning reserve and check the selected model's input and operating cycle.
Potentially, depending on total daily waste, loading windows and the selected machine's operating instructions. Confirm the duty cycle with DSC Engineering.
No. Remove plastic, metal, glass, and other unsuitable materials. Only feed waste suitable for the equipment and agreed operating process.
Actual consumption depends on model, heating and mixing cycle, waste moisture, and use pattern. Request verified electrical specifications and use the editable running-cost calculator for planning.
Do not assume so. Any required curing or downstream handling must be planned separately from machine rated daily throughput.
