Watch & See
See the OWC Machine in Action
A short look at the enclosed shredding, mixing and controlled processing cycle used across the COMPOSTO OWC range.
How an OWC machine works
Waste in. Compost out. 24 hours.
The machine processing cycle is approximately 24 hours. Discharged material is then moved to curing before final compost use.
Waste Goes In
Segregated wet waste — kitchen scraps, peels, leftovers, garden trimmings — is loaded into the chamber. Correct source segregation is the first requirement: dry waste, metal, glass and other contaminants stay out of the OWC feed.
Start with source-segregated wet wasteEvery COMPOSTO model runs this same 24-hour cycle, from the 10–15 Kg COMPOSTO VEER to the 1000 Kg OWC 1000 Industrial.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
An Organic Waste Converter processes source-segregated wet waste through controlled shredding, mixing, heating and biological decomposition inside an enclosed machine cycle.
Segregated kitchen and food waste such as vegetable scraps, peels and cooked food residues are suitable. Dry waste, metal, glass and other contaminants should be kept out at source.
Enclosed processing, controlled temperature, ventilation and correct operating practice help manage odour. Good source segregation and site ventilation still matter.
The machine processing cycle is approximately 24 hours. The discharged organic material is then kept for curing before final compost use.
The processing cycle is automated, while an operator is still needed for segregation checks, loading, output handling, routine cleaning and normal site housekeeping.
PLC controls help standardize the operating sequence and coordinate functions such as cycle timing, mixing and temperature control according to the machine configuration.
